Locking distal radius volar rim plate is known to be most commonly used for open reduction and internal stabilization of fractures occurring in the distal radius. These plates are also admired to prevent angular displacement of fractures. They are considered best for the surgical treatment of complex intra-articular and extra-articular distal radius fractures. Kirschner wire holes are provided on the head of these plates for temporary fixation. These radius volar rim plates have elongate VA combi holes that allow accurate positioning of the plate and adjustment of the radial length. They can be availed in left and right structural configurations.
